BIOGRAPHY

Kamaki was born in the Territory of the Kingdom of Hawai’i. Kamaki’s parents put an ‘Ukulele in his hands at the age of 7. They told him to “watch and listen” and to use his five senses as his father played guitar and his mother sung and strummed her ukulele.

After studying at the University of Hawai’I of Manoa, Kamaki came to the Mainland where he is now a full time musician, entertainer and ‘Ukulele instructor. He shares the  Aloha at many Southern California  Ho’olaule’a’s (festival), corporate events, and private parties.  He also provides Hawaiian music for hula Halau’s (school).

Kamaki has regularly played at various restaurants such as Duke’s in Huntington Beach, Honolulu Harry’s Restaurant in Chino, Garlic Jo’s and Billy’s at the Beach in Newport Beach, and Spot Sizzling Soup in Torrance. He is currently performing at Tommy Bahama in Newport Beach, the Breadcrumb ‘Ohana Café and Dough Dough’s Hawaiian Café in Huntington Beach, and at private events in Hawaii, California and Las Vegas.
