Joe Tolo is the youngest of 8 siblings. In 1997, his family moved from American Samoa to Sacramento, California. Growing up in a house full of musicians and attending church at a very young age, he has been able to develop his own sound. Joe’s musical influences include Brian McKnight, John Legend, Sam Smith and Adele. From gospel to pop, Joe loves to sing a variety of genres. In 2014, Joe won a national singing competition called Extra The Voice Bootcamp Experience and got to attend The Voice season 6 finale as well as receive a vocal lesson from the show’s head vocal coach, a wardrobe makeover and a casting audition with the show. In 2015, he was featured on season 8 of The Voice, ultimately giving him the opportunity to work with well established artists such as Christina Aguilera, Nick Jonas and Nate Reuss of the band F.U.N. This opportunity has opened up a wide range of connections with other contestants of the show such as Loa Greyson and Barry Black. Earlier this year, Joe released his single ‘Good Time’ and his EP is currently in the making. He plans on releasing it before the summer. He is currently a graduating senior at California State University, East Bay. After college, he plans on pushing more original content as well as covers on social media. As far as music goes, his ultimate goal is to be able to support his family by doing what he loves. Joe has been writing songs since the age of 12 and he’s been singing for as long as he can remember. From networking with others to performing at various events, he plans on putting himself out there and essentially making others happy while doing what he loves.
