Music was introduced to Alo Key at an early age. By the age of 5 he began to perform in his father's local band. Singing and playing various instruments expanded his interest in music. He developed an ear for musical cords and advanced rhythmic patterns. Growing up in the early 90’s he was inspired by groups such as Boyz II Men, Dru Hill, Jodeci, and Babyface. At age 14, he became apart of a quartet, I-land, which also included his brother and two cousins. I-land signed with BMG International to tour Europe 1997-2000. In 1998, I-land reached gold status in Austria with their benefit single "Last Stand". In 2000, I-land decided on a mutual break-up on self terms. After returning to Missouri, he continued writing and producing independently. Within the past 2 years, he has dedicated himself to taking his music to the next level. With local performances and traveling out of state he has created an impact with his music in the Midwest. He has opened for artists such as J Holiday, Bobby Valentino, Jon B, Ginuine, and Dru hill. He has expanded his fan base not only from live performances but also through youtube, myspace, and facebook. He recently released his debut album, “Music’s Key To Love” which can be found on his website or on itunes. It is his hope and dream to share his music with those who have the same love for music.
